Social Medium is a Social Makerspace where Makers come together to connect, make things and have fun. We have projects, classes and events in a fun, creative and geeky environment that encourages building Social Connections.

Makers use the term “Medium” to refer to the tools and materials used to create something. At Social Medium, we provide a new system of tools and materials that makers can use to Create Connections.

We not only include, but celebrate the differences that make us and our community unique. From Gender Neutral Bathrooms to Sci-Fi themed decorations, and from Staff made art to sensory aids, makers of all types and interests should see themselves reflected in our company, staff, and spaces.

At Social Medium we define Maker as: A person who is passionate about their ideas, and works towards bringing those ideas into reality.

This includes writers. painters, coders. carpenters, musicians, knitters, chefs and anyone else who creates things.

Makers need a social outlet to express their creativity and pursue their curiosity.

Many spaces and organizations focus on providing tools, materials and knowledge to Makers.

Very few companies focus on actively creating social connections and community.
