What can I make at Social Medium?

Learn more about what you can make at Social Medium Makerspace. From our art and STEM Project Kits that come with instructions to our library of tools and materials, to our secret menu of more advanced tools and materials. Your imagination is the only limit to what you can make.

Library

For just $5 you get unlimited access to our “Library” of tool and materials. In the “Library“ you will find all of the basic arts and crafts tool and materiasl including: Exacto Knives, paper, various glues, safety gear, knitting needles, clamps, ribbon, tapes, comic books and magazines, etc. It also includes the “Junkyard” section full of upcycled materials donated by community members.
Store

Can’t find what you are looking for in the “Library”? Check out out “Store” of unique arts, crafts, and STEM tools and materials. The “Store” contains a wide range of items including: scale model items, DnD mini-figures, ceramic planters, scrapbook paper, yarn, electronic components, and more. We even have a snack bar with snack and drinks.
Secret Menu

Are you ready to try making something more advanced? Then you might want to try something from our “Secret Menu”. These tools and materials take training to use, but we are happy to teach you how. Try some of our “Secret Menu” items like: laser cutter/engraver, sewing macine, silicon ad epoxy/resin, vacuum former, Cricut vinyl cutter, medium format printer, soldering kit, etc.

Project Kits

DISCLAIMER: Social Medium does not do “paint by numbers.” The projects we offer are just a “blank canvas” designed to give you the opportunity to be creative and make something unique to you. Likewise, the instructions are purposefully simple and vague. This is done to encourage you to be creative and make a one of a kind piece. If you get stuck, we encourage you to ask the people around you for help (it’s a great icebreaker). You are also always welcome to ask one of our staff members, who are all experienced makers and educators.
